A short time later, Westchester County Police Officers observed the vehicle traveling on the Saw Mill River Parkway and were able to take the occupants, later identified as the defendants, into custody after a brief foot pursuit. He attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the defendant allegedly failed to stop and fled the scene, committing numerous vehicle and traffic violations. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 17-year-old Yorktown resident, who is charged with Juvenile Delinquency. He is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on Apto answer the above charges. NYSP then located the vehicle traveling Southbound on the Taconic State Parkway allegedly in excess of 100 MPH. ![]() Officer Rohr discontinued the pursuit after determining the operator’s actions were a threat to public safety. It is alleged, the operator of the vehicle then continued driving on route 202 in a reckless manner, by allegedly passing vehicles on the wrong side of the road, disobeying traffic control devices and operating at a high rate of speed. Officer Rohr attempted to stop the vehicle, which allegedly unlawfully fled from police officers. Yorktown Police report the arrest of an 18-year-old Katonah man, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Reckless driving, an Unclassified Misdemeanor and multiple traffic infractions.Īccording to police, on Maat approximately 9:13 PM while on routine patrol, Officer Rohr witnessed a vehicle allegedly operating at a high rate of speed on Route 202.
